Dr. Briggs is a 1992 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Shortly after graduation he moved to New Jersey and joined the staff at Ocean County Veterinary Hospital<http://www.ocvh.com/>in Lakewood where he is presently an owner.
Dr. Briggs treats all kinds of companion animals and has a special interest in exotic pets. Memberships include the American Veterinary Medical Association, New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Jersey Shore Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the Association of Sugar Glider Veterinarians.
Dr. Briggs enjoys furthering his knowledge and skills through a variety of continuing education resources including periodicals, conferences and multimedia productions. In his spare time, Dr. Briggs enjoys spending time with his kids, working with computers and, of course, playing ice and/or roller hockey (Dr. Briggs is a native Canadian). He is also an audio/video/electronics nut and this hobby is perhaps his favorite pastime.
