Dr. Franklin attended veterinary school at Colorado State University.  He then completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania before moving to the University of Missouri to complete a residency and PhD in small animal surgery.  He achieved board certification in small animal surgery in January 2012 and is currently finishing his doctoral research investigating and developing bioabsorbable materials for joint replacement and resurfacing.  His clinical interests also include an emphasis on minimally invasive laparoscopic, thoracoscopic, and arthroscopic procedures.
